Mick on Court!

This last Saturday our ward basketball team played in the regional finals. They went in as the 3rd place team and played a team that was 1st (undefeated) in their stake. Our team came from behind (15 points) and won in overtime. Mick proved that as the oldest man on the court he can still contribute to the game. He had 8 points, 2 of which were free throws (not his strength).
His great strengths are rebounding, assisting and being a wall!

Our second game wasn't as good. Our team played a singles ward. What does that mean?? The players were young, strong, fast and great shooters, not to mention cocky! Mick still gave it his all and had 5 points. He was pretty beat up though . His strong wall was even knocked to the ground a few times...Owwww!! He is already looking forward to next season and said that he won't retire until 50.
We will see if age stops him!
