Summer of Travel

We traveled across the country this summer. Mick spoke at an EFY session in Ohio and directed a session in Pennsylvania. As we traveled we stopped along the way to see many Church and American Historical sites. We traveled over 5,000 miles and saw much of this great country that we live in. The EFY Sessions were great and Carly and Kaylie had a good time at their session in Pennsylvania.

Our first stop was Nauvoo. We got there in time to enjoy the great food at the Nauvoo Hotel. We then saw the Nauvoo Pagaent....it was great! We got up early the next morning to go to the Temple.
We had a wonderful experience there.

We drove to Springfield, Illinois to the Land of Lincoln. The Smith's meet the Lincoln's!
The Presidential Museum is Awesome. We would highly recommend it!
The Kirtland Temple in Kirtland, Ohio. We attended the Sacrament Meeting Sunday morning. It was exciting to be there as we witnessed the growth of a new ward in the Kirtland Area. The Bishop had been called the week prior and the Sunday we were there they were sustaining all the leadership of the ward.

Monday morning in Canton, Ohio we made a stop at the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Mick and Carly loved this! Mick was surprised that I knew a few names and facts about football. Our favorite part was the film about the journey to the Super Bowl. It was like an Imax Theatre, we were up close and personal. It felt as though we were on the field with the players.
We could almost feel the sweat from the players on us.
